AL 8-Hour Unarmed Security Officer Basic Training
Initial unarmed training with exam and certificate. Delivery flexible unless hands-on blocks are scheduled.
AL Armed — 4h Classroom + 2h Range (Qual)
Classroom + mandatory live-fire handgun qualification. Range portion is in-person.
ASRB Live-Fire & Handgun Qualification
Board course-of-fire (3/7/15 yards) with minimum passing score. In-person only.
TN 4-Hour Unarmed (Initial)
PPS-compliant initial training with written exam; flexible delivery allowed for unarmed.
TN 2-Hour Unarmed Renewal
Renewal training for unarmed PPS license holders; delivery may be online/remote/in-person.
TN 8-Hour Armed Security — Classroom
Pair with 4-hour Marksmanship & PPS qualification; all live-fire in person.
TN 4-Hour Marksmanship + PPS Qual
Firearms instruction and PPS qualification; range only, in person.
TN 4-Hour Armed Renewal + Requalification

NRA FIRST Steps Pistol
Hands-on intro for a specific pistol action; ≈3 hours; classroom + range.
NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting
Safety, fundamentals, maintenance, standardized qual; exam + certificate.
NRA Personal Protection In The Home (PPITH)
Defensive skills; home safety; firearms & the law; ~100 rounds.
NRA FIRST Steps Rifle
Intro to a specific rifle action; classroom + range; safety, operation, cleaning.
NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting
Positions, safety, maintenance; exam + certificate.
NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO)
Roles, SOPs, inspections, briefings, stoppages & emergencies (~9h).
NRA New Shooter Seminar
45–60 minute fundamentals of firearm safety; delivered in person at STPA.
